Other than being the city of love, Paris is known for numerous things – it’s patisseries, artisan breads and lavish cuisine. Boasting sights like the Eifel Tower, Louvre and Notre Dame. And if that’s not reason enough to jump on Easyjet, there’s always the fashion!
Picking the top shopping spots in Paris proved harder than we thought, but we nailed our choice five.
1. Avenue Montaigne
If it’s high fashion you want, you’ll find it on this avenue. The strip specialising in luxury brands such as Dior, Chanel, Fendi and Ralph Lauren. Jewellery brands like Bulgari are also in the mix, making it a ‘paradise city’ for fashion lovers.
2. Champs-Élysées
Running 1.18 miles through North West Paris with Arc de Triomphe as the trophy at the end, Champs-Élysées seems to be the creme de la creme of tourist destinations. It’s pretty simple to see why. Adorned by cinemas, cafes and restaurants, the avenue offers enough stops for rest between an all-day shopping spree.
You’ll find yourself mesmerized by the strip and happily shopping at luxurious Louis Vuitton, Cartier and Hugo Boss.
3. Le Marais
The Marais is a hipster’s dream. Between the many art galleries, you’ll find shoes, sunglasses and second hand shops with names like Noir Kennedy, Vintage Bar and Jimmy Fairley – one trendier than the next.
One of these we especially love (other than Odetta mentioned below) is Amusement. Creating an eclectic feel with everything geek – polaroids, rubik’s cubes and personalised video games.
4. Odetta
Who doesn’t love vintage? Nestled in the Marais, this quant boutique is every shoppers dream. The store features designer pieces from the 70’s and 80’s, including Yves Saint Laurent.
Prices register somewhere between steal and splurge, but the quality of the products makes it a must on every fashionista’s list.
5. Kiloshop
This thrift is a gem. No matter your style, it’s guaranteed to have something in store for you. And the concept is simple, you pick what you want, weigh it and pay per kg. Getting away with bargains means you have euros left for croissants.
